Box of Love

Boxes of Love are Due no later than THURSDAY, December 4th

Box of Love Update...

I've updated and posted new pics on the blogspot.  Our evening at Urama was very sweet.  There were 6 children and one baby on the way, due next week.  Rika and her daughter Mia along with Junko did a skit and shared the story of Christmas and Jesus birth then Rika and Junko sang a couple of songs in Japanese titled "You are Special" and "You were created to be Loved".  A few mom's were quite moved by them.  Please pray for this location and the mom's and children there as they need so much encouragement.  Thanks again for those of you who prepared boxes for them on such short notice and did such a wonderful job.

Thanks so much for your loving support for this outreach ministry, what a blessing it is to the children and to their mom's.

Remember to go to www.boxofloveokinawa.blogspot.com and see what God is doing with this ministry.

Testimonials

A husband says, "We were so impressed with the conference. The thing that impressed me the most was learning how men and women are wired differently. It is easier to understand what (my wife)is trying to get across to me. (My wife) and I will be celebrating our 33rd Anniversary... and I still came away knowing that I have a lot to learn and need to do my share to help minimize our crazy cycles.  I WAS IMPRESSED!!!!"

A wife writes about her husband. "(My husband)has always been a very quiet man - not one for displays of emotion. We are as different as any two people could be in that area. But, I see something so different in him as a result of this conference. He is as enthusiastic and excited as I have ever seen him."

After 6 years of marriage, a couple was headed for divorce but came to the Love and Respect Conference. Then, a year later they came back to a second conference. The last 12 months had been the best of their whole married life!

ESL TRAINING (22 AUG)

ESL Training

Friday, August 22nd

9:30am - 11:30am

Childcare will be provided

English as a Second Language is a great ministry to our community.  It gives Koza Baptist Church an opportunity to impact our Okinawan community for Christ.  Each year we see many of the individuals from the community come to Koza in order to learn english.

This year we are expecting even more participation.
Efforts are being made to promote this ministry to our new community, Noborikawa.

In order to be effective, we need more ESL Teachers.
You do not have to speak Japanese to teach English.
We are looking for individuals who are desiring to reach the Okinawan community.  You will be provided with all the materials and training.  If you speak English, you qualify to teach English in this ministry.

ESL takes place each week on Mondays at 9:30am - 12:00noon.

If you are interested in attending the training or teaching in ESL,
please contact Julie Morrison

themorrisons@morrisongang.com or 098-926-1338

Appreciation Party

Nakamoto Kogyo

Construction

APPRECIATION PARTY

THIS MONDAY -11 FEB – 5PM

Whom it may concern,

You are cordially invited to join us for an appreciation party.   Since we started construction of the Koza Baptist Church

last October, the work has gone smoothly and has progressed without any accident or casualty. We want to show our thanks to

everyone involved in the construction of the church. By the end of February, the concrete work on the building will be almost completed. Then the construction work will change to the steel framing, the roofing, the interior framing and finishing, and the exterior work.  We are very grateful to the members of the Koza Baptist Church, and to our workers who worked so hard. Also we would like to foster closer relationships with our new workers. We are planning to have the Appreciation Party on Feb. 11th ( Monday) at 5pm. It will be held at the Koza Baptist Church construction site.
